Whew! Everybody knows Monday is a marathon! I know that it is that way in every family, and it is no different in ours. Matt and I have been getting up to exercise in the mornings for a while now. Then we get Laura up for school and get ready for our days. Often while we get ready in the mornings on days the little girls stay home, they lay in our bed and watch Sophia the First (which we DVR). Laura gets dropped off at school at 8:15am every morning and then off to work. We'll skip work, since it's the mundane part. I pick Laura up around 5:30ish and head home. On Mondays and Wednesdays I get to come home to my rockin' mom's home cooking! We had chicken, baked potatoes and veggies tonight. It was delicious!
There was also another surprise tonight. Papa stopped by for a birthday surprise for Laura and brought her a present. (Her birthday is tomorrow.) She was SO excited. She got riding pants and a top. She loves horse back riding and is exciting to test them! We got to enjoy dinner with Grammy, Papa, and Great Granny. The kids played Perfection with Grammy and Great Grammy while Dad and I chatted after dinner. It was a nice change of pace.
We did homework while we waited for Matt. He came home and visited with the kids. Then Laura headed up to take a shower while I caught up on some work. Now the kids and Daddy are watching Sleeping Beauty (recorded from last night) on TV. They have to go to bed in a few minutes! It's 8:25pm. They won't be happy when I tell them to head upstairs. And then we start all over again tomorrow. Ahhh...the rat race of life.
I couldn't resist this pic. It's the girls playing in the leaves - Fall 2014!
