Easton Lights

We went to Easton last night to see the lights. Laura and my dad were awed! First we had dinner at Cap City and enjoyed all the goodness of the blue cheese chips! I haven't had them in about two years, and they were awesome. Then we proceeded to Easton and walked around browsing and people watching. It was a very relaxing evening. Even though it was cold, Laura loved being outside and seeing all of the lights and scenery.

Finally...Cake

Last weekend, Laura's cousin, Chelsea, bought her a belated birthday cake. It was so cute!. It was a monster cake. We let her tear into it, and she loved it! This weekend we decorated the house for Christmas, and Laura got to play with her friend, Avery Childress. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Its officially the Christmas season!

This Week's Milestones

Yes...Laura's milestones from last week - she learned to pick her nose and she got bit for the first time at daycare. Nice. I don't have pictures up yet from the weekend. But she had a good time during the Michigan game. She played with her cousin, Tammra, and cheered the Buckeyes to a victory. The comment of the weekend:

Matt: "Oh how times have changed. I'm standing in my living room with my daughter in one arm, my nephew's 6 mo old daughter in the other arm during the Michigan game - SOBER!"

First Snowfall

A little early, but winter seems to be here. Laura is pretty excited about it. She got a new hat this week at Meijer.

Beat Michigan Week Begins!

After the Illinois game, Laura was sporting her baby bandie uniform taking a swig from her bottle. She is celebrating our win and getting a good start to beat michigan week. Fittingly, this is the weekend that she made her big arrival last year.

Fun with my cousin

Laura's Aunt Wendy and Uncle Rom came to visit her for her birthday last week. They brought her baby cousin, Tammra. They were so cute together. Laura was trying to give her kisses, and whatever Laura was saying must have been funny to Tammra. It was a fun evening!

Happy 1st Birthday!!

Laura had a fun first birthday! I can't believe a year has gone by already. I feel like we just blinked, and she is one year old. I baked her a teddy bear cake. It came out pretty good. She didn't end up eating any of it though. She got cranky, and I put her down for a nap instead. It was good cake though!

Pumpkin Carving

I know...I know. I haven't posted forever. So I'm going to do several posts tonight to catch up. This first one is of us carving a real pumpkin. Laura thought this was pretty cool, and Matt did a really good job. She kept trying to eat the "guts" and ended up covered in pumpkin.

Happy Halloween!

Matt carved us our first annual family pumpkin! It looks really cool when there is a light shining in it. We will try to get a better pic later. Laura had fun "monkeying" around in her Curious George Halloween costume.

Hello Everyone! I know I haven't posted for awhile. Here are some pics from a couple of weeks ago. We went on a Friday night to watch the band rehearsal. There are always a bunch of families that come to watch the band shows, and they sit on the hill behind the towers. It was a beautiful evening, and Laura loved watching the other kids running around playing and listening to the music.

Playing Outside

Laura and I were trying to enjoy one of the last few nice days outside last night. She loves playing with the flowers. Or bark...or grass...or dirt...or anything on the ground!

Sleeping Baby...

Yesterday when we got to daycare, Laura was sleeping, and she looked so angelic. Yes, she is almost 11 months and still likes to be swaddled sometimes. She was sleeping good and was not too happy when we woke her up!

This is a pic of the mural that Matt is working on in Ohio Stadium. It's coming along well. He has been working on it for about a month. He works on it in the evenings after work. We will put more pics of it on the site when it is complete. This mural is supposed to depict the various facets of the band: the marching band, the athletic band, the alumni band, etc.

Laura was enjoying her prunes to the max....Mommy got to enjoy them later too! If you look close, you can see her first two teeth coming in on the bottom!

Gamedays 2008

Here are a few of Laura's gameday photos. She has enjoyed her first full football season so far. She actually started really crawling the first game of the season. She crawled right to the perfect viewing spot in front of the tv. Her daddy was so proud! She now pulls herself up on things and gets into everything. Go Bucks!
